My name is Michael Henderson, and I'm a Bay Area native who has been fortunate enough to call South Lake Tahoe my second home for the past 26 years. In early 2026, I finally made the move I had dreamed about for years and relocated to South Lake Tahoe full-time.

My connection to Tahoe goes back much further than that. My family has been coming to South Lake Tahoe since the early 1960s. My grandparents lived in the Sierra Tract, and my aunt and uncle lived just a couple of blocks away. I spent much of my childhood and many of my summers here, and as I grew older, I always dreamed of one day living and working in the place I had come to love so much.

After settling in full-time, I started thinking about what kind of business I could build that would allow me to continue doing something I have always enjoyed — helping people.

Over the years, I found myself doing all sorts of things for family and friends who own primary or second homes here in Tahoe. I would meet a repair person at their house, check on something unusual happening in the backyard, make sure everything looked okay after a storm, or simply stop by a property when someone was out of town. I was always happy to drive over, take a look around, and report back with what I found — often including a few pictures so they could see for themselves.

Sometimes it was as simple as watering a neighbor's lawn or mowing another neighbor's yard while they were away. They helped me when I needed it, and I was always happy to return the favor.

That's really where Hendo's Property Services came from.

We are not a traditional property management company handling tenants, rent payments, or ongoing rental property maintenance.

We are here to manage and care for your property.

Whether you live here full-time or enjoy Tahoe as your second home, we understand that there are always those little things that seem to just come up with owning a home.

• A storm comes through and you want someone to check on things.

Hendo's Property Services is a locally owned South Lake Tahoe business, and I am excited to offer these services to our full-time neighbors as well as those who enjoy Tahoe as their second home — a place to relax, recharge, and get away from it all.

We may not be the right people for every job, and we're perfectly comfortable saying so. There are some requests that require specialized expertise, licensing, or experience that we don't have. But if we can't help you, we'll do our best to point you toward someone who can.

My goal is simple: to build a business that our community knows, respects, and trusts.

I want Hendo's Property Services to be the person you think of when something comes up at your Tahoe home and you need someone local, dependable, and willing to lend a hand.
